Person specification

Qualifications - Academic /Professional

Essential criteria

  • Qualified Doctor or Dentist with full registration of the General Medical Council/ General Dental Council or equivalent
  • ST3 + or equivalent
  • At least 6 months NHS experience
  • Experience in paediatrics or paediatric subspecialty e.g. paeds anaesthesia/PED/Paeds surgery/CAMHS

Skills, Knowledge Requirements & Experience

Desirable criteria

  • Experience leading change initiatives
  • A proven ability to deliver consistently on clinical effectiveness and patient safety
  • Experience of implementing change across departments, organisations, or systems
  • Experience working in regional or national leadership initiatives
  • Experience or evidence of managing teams and projects
  • Knowledge of NHS policy, particularly related to medical staff, patient experience, quality and safety and also the NHS regulatory framework
  • Advocate for junior doctor
