We're looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead and oversee complex M&E work packages, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and have a passion for excellence, we want to hear from you!
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, you will:
- Lead M&E work packages up to £10m or contribute to larger, more complex packages.
- Manage M&E subcontractors, ensuring installation quality, safety, and compliance.
- Oversee project planning, logistics, and sequencing to optimise efficiency.
- Drive health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a culture of site safety.
- Ensure technical compliance, quality assurance, and alignment with the Building Safety Act.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including design teams, site managers, and external partners.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring targets are met within budget and timeframe.
- Support commercial teams with accurate site records and procurement forecasting.
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainable construction practices.
Who we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in Mechanical Project Engineering within the construction sector.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Excellent understanding of M&E construction techniques, British Standards, and regulations.
- Experience in planning, logistics, and coordination of large-scale projects.
- A commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality in construction.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in BIM and construction management software.
- A relevant engineering qualification (Chartered status is desirable but not essential).
