Senior Mechanical Engineer

Carbon60 are looking for a Mechanically minded Engineer to join a client of ours who are currently dominating the recycling industry. This position is a permanent position and will require you to travel to sites around London and the South East.

You will be responsible for travelling to sites across the south east assessing machinery and developing improvement solutions.

Duties include:

• Lead the development of proposals for new growth opportunities in the sorting and recycling sector ( i.e. plastic recycling, glass recycling) by interacting with internal Subject Matter Experts and the supply chain.
• Maintain a complete understanding of the sorting and recycling plants' (those assigned to you) performance at all times.
• Identify saving initiatives and prepare the feasibility studies for continuous improvement and optimisation projects for the sorting and recycling assets, and present them to manager and operation for approval.
• Lead on the technical designs of new recycling facilities, including concept technical solution development, costing, performance guarantees from suppliers by interacting with internal and external stakeholders

What we're looking for;

• Experience in engineering background (Mechanical, Process, Industrial, Electrical) or in waste management and recycling sector
• Experience in developing feasibility studies and projects' business cases
• Experience in project planning, development and management skills
• Relevant experience in sorting and recycling process or similar industry (i.e.aggregates processing)
• Excellent skills in writing and delivering high quality reports and presentations.
• Ability to manipulate data to produce complex reports.

This position is paying £50,000 per annum + 17.5% bonus and a £6,000 car allowance. Please note, for this position you will need more than 5 years over experience.
