This is a meaningful role that will lead and drive the planning, prioritisation, reporting & insight of our Marketplace business. The Senior Analyst for our Marketplace will collaborate closely with others to provide accessible data for decision-making and identify growth opportunities.

What's the job?

  • Interpret, produce, and share actionable and relevant insights to advise and drive our Marketplace strategy.
  • Produce content and insight for key Group Marketplace forums.
  • Define reporting requirements vital to support the Group and Marketplace teams.
  • Support Group & Banner teams to self-serve using existing reporting and analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with Group & Banner teams to evolve the reporting roadmap for Marketplace analytics.
  • Collate, plan, and prioritise Marketplace reporting in conjunction with the Digital BI team.
  • Partner with the Group and Banner Marketplace teams to identify consistent metrics and benchmarks to measure performance.
  • Work closely with the Group Product Team to understand upcoming changes and development.
  • Own the sharing of learnings, insights, and best practices across Group & Banner teams.
  • Develop and evolve processes and look for opportunities to improve.
  • Apply industry knowledge and benchmarks to interpret data and provide recommendations.
  • Be a champion of Marketplace & Analytics. Embed data analytics and detailed experimentation methods in our product development.
  • Work with the wider Analytics and Performance team to develop, and support, more junior members of the team.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Analytics and Performance team.

What you'll bring

  • Extensive experience of working in an analytics-focused role; across e-commerce or trading.
  • Good understanding of key metrics and KPIs frequently used in e-commerce and Marketplaces
  • Experience in delivering analysis and insight passionate about growth & improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail, stakeholder engagement, and ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams at any one time.
  • Adept at using digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge and experience of using visualisation tools (Power BI/Tableau)
  • Intermediate SQL ability with experience of using Google BigQuery to query large datasets
  • Proven presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to adjust key messages to different audiences.
  • Proactive nature, independent, experience of being a self-starter, and operating with autonomy.

Beneficial Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in a Marketplace team, or a Marketplace-specific role.
  • Knowledge of Tag Management Systems (Tealium iQ or GTM).
