About the team

To help clients navigate these strategic decisions, KPMG Advisory supports clients on their business transformation journey.

The Advisory marketing team within the KPMG International Global Advisory business is responsible for building campaigns on behalf of the country member firms to help position KPMG in the business transformation marketplace.

The Senior Marketing Manager - Technology and Transformation, reports to the Solutions & capabilities marketing team lead, and will be a key member of the global KPMG Advisory marketing team. The role will focus on creating the strategy and delivering our technology and transformation marketing plans globally, including through our network of member firms and global sectors.

Role Summary

This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, managing multiple groups of stakeholders including senior leadership. The candidate will be responsible for the marketing strategy to support KPMG's technology consulting and transformation business units, working closely with global leadership to define messaging and support go to market strategies, including cloud, technology architecture, emerging technology, AI, cyber and transformation.

The role requires the ability to work closely with other advisory marketers, the advisory content team, and global and member firm marketing and communications teams, subject matter experts, and key third parties. The candidate will be the lead marketer to help tell our technology story to the market and will help ensure these messages are used throughout the advisory portfolio to reinforce our technology and transformation reputation.

All outputs and activities must be to the highest possible standards and the successful candidate will need to display exceptional communication and planning skills.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic marketing planning, marketing program management and execution
- Assume end-to-end ownership of the strategic marketing plan and messaging for the technology consulting and transformation business units.
- Work with colleagues in the advisory content team to ensure timeline delivery of marketing materials including editorial content, design, thought leadership, digital materials (e.g. infographics and social media content), and other client-facing materials
- Responsible for creation of hero campaigns to help grow KPMG's reputation with current and potential clients, including the development and execution of global tech report and similar thought leadership.
- Raise the external profile of technology and transformation expertise at KPMG, with a focus on key global and local spokespeople in target markets.
- Ownership of messaging and value proposition, including the updating of documents, to help articulate our services to clients and help member firms tell a cohesive technology and transformation story.
- Work with the content marketing team, advisory marketing lead and business stakeholder to execute key marketing campaigns on time and to budget
- Work with the business' Centers of Excellence on key initiatives including analyst relations, leadership meetings, and country engagement
Presenting to senior leadership on marketing activity and campaigns

Program and performance management
- Build strong relationships with the country teams to help maximise value of the programs and impact of rollout
- Manage the program budget for technology and transformation marketing campaigns, including regular reporting to marketing leadership on the progress of initiatives and expenditures
- Establish clear objectives and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for all campaigns with the goal of delivering the most impactful programs possible through continuous improvement. This includes overseeing regular reporting on results of marketing initiatives against established benchmarks to Marketing leadership
- Track marketing KPIs such as web, social media, paid search/social and other metrics to optimise and improve marketing activities
- Contribute to the establishment of best practices as a member of the Global Advisory, marketing team

Coordinate efforts between different business areas and geographies to maximize impact and achieve business objectives
- Engage global and national marketing and communications to ensure adoption of marketing and communications initiatives
- Work closely with the different areas within Global Marketing and Communications to ensure Advisory practice is benefiting from our Central Services' global expertise, scale, best practices, global content coordination, compliance and risk management processes and procedures

Continuous improvement and development
- Keep up to date with contemporary trends and thinking in digital marketing, M&C strategy, to support a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Embrace, drive, and implement new and innovative marketing strategies and techniques, translating the latest tactics and thinking into practical approaches
- Keeping up to date on the latest developments in the technology space

Experience & knowledge

- A considerable amount of integrated marketing experience within the professional service industry or similar
- Demonstrated success and experience working in a global, matrix organization.
- Experience in dealing with senior (Board level) executives
- Proven track record in developing and executing a global marketing program across multiple geographies, functions and sectors
- Demonstrable success in developing and implementing complex (and preferably international) marketing programs - including developing consistent messaging, robust marketing performance measurement and reporting capturing relevant data points and determining ROI
- Proven project management skills with the ability to get buy-in and support for projects from diverse and often widespread stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and comfortable taking a self-starting, hands-on and collaborative approach to getting things done.

Technical skills, abilities & qualifications

- University degree in a related field (ie. technology, international business, marketing or communications)
- Proven project management skills with advanced knowledge of marketing strategy and budget management
- Strong marketing skills across a wide range of channels, with a focus on content marketing and digital marketing.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experience of web strategy, user journey and SEO optimization would be an advantage
- Experience working in a technology organization desirable
- Ability to create concrete plans and deliverables in sometimes ambiguous and changing situations
- Ambitious with the desire to be seen to be making a difference
- Self-motivated, proactive and a strong team player.
- Flexible and able to operate in the context of different cultures and national approaches
- Ability to travel internationally as required. Flexibility in hours to accommodate varying time zones.
