The role

Our Global Partnerships business is a world-leader, and in this role you'll be at the heart of building global fame for our brand and our shows. Working across a range of titles and projects, this Senior Marketing Manager takes the lead on marketing our non-scripted catalogue - everything from natural history and documentaries to entertainment and factual series. We don't want drama to feel left out though, so you'll also drive compelling marketing campaigns and pitch materials that support our early drama sales conversations. And you'll be a data lover who can't help but get into the detail of our department metrics and own the performance of our marketing.

Key responsibilities

NON-SCRIPTED

  • Work with the SVP to create and deliver the annual non-scripted marketing plan, aligned with priority titles and business plans across Global Partnerships (GP). Ensure this contains a mix of campaigns to support (1) the brand message of ITV Studios as the world's go to supplier of non-scripted series for both programme buyers and influencers, and 3rd party producers (2) launch and ongoing promotion of priority titles and back catalogue collections..
  • Builds strong relationships and a consistently high level of communication with sales execs, creative, production and content heads to understand ongoing content slate, sales priorities and develop marketing campaigns that align with targets.
  • Directs and manages the development and creation of marketing materials for the non-scripted business that include artwork, advertising, on-air and digital communications - writing solid creative briefs and managing agencies. Regularly communicate the plans and campaign elements to the Marketing team and other stakeholders as directed.
  • Directs and manages plans for priority titles and back catalogue collections. Works with GP Strategy team and Global Content team to ensure title plans are included in go-to-market docs. Oversee tactical marketing & publicity opportunities and sign off on all materials, budgets & roll-out of campaigns. Sync plans within the ITV Group to optimise value from B2B and DTC. Ensure title metadata is input regularly into ContentHub.
  • Working with the Social and CRM teams, leads the plan for that includes how we'll build awareness using these channels, scheduling, content development and delivery.
  • Works closely with Sales execs to write and execute an annual plan around key initiatives, with tactical marketing & PR to raise the profile of ITVS in the trade space, as well as supporting with customised pitches and sales events.
  • Produces quarterly strategic campaign plans that outline upcoming launches across trade and consumer paid media, and deploys tactical thinking to support sales targets and reaches key customers.
  • Key responsibility for the non-scripted plan at markets and events including the annual flagship ITVS Formats Festival, MIPCOM, Content London that includes strategic planning, negotiation and execution.
  • Budget management for all non-scripted budgets across the team, monitoring spend, re-forecasts and ensuring on track with business needs.
  • Develops and owns the annual natural history marketing plan, working with the award-winning Plimsoll Productions and other internal/external teams to drive a strong, consistent message about ITVS as a global natural history Studio.

OTHER

  • Partners with our SVP of Drama Co-Productions to drive campaigns and marketing materials that support early pitch conversations for new drama on the GP slate.
  • Work with the CMO and SVP to develop and implement processes that deliver end-to-end title marketing plans across various touchpoints in the ITV Group.
  • Work with the CMO and SVP to own marketing performance reviews, working with the team to define KPIs for projects and titles, driving marketing effectiveness and delivering quarterly reviews.
  • Account management for key GP client and producer relationships, building effective relationships with partners. Manages assigned sales territories working closely with sales teams and customers to deliver industry-leading marketing support.
  • Responsible for a live marketing calendar for assigned markets showing key marketing initiatives for programme sell-in as well as launch dates of priority titles across key territories. Circulate regularly to stakeholders.

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • Excellent track record in marketing is essential with relevant experience in a media marketing environment, preferably working for a large, global Studio business
  • Experience in smoothly working across teams is essential, ensuring they prioritise and deliver to business needs; must be a strong communicator, capable of building solid relationships with Sales and Content teams
  • Good knowledge of the international tv and content distribution industry
  • Strong experience in branding and creating brand identities, as well as franchise/brand management.
  • Previous experience of working with international broadcasters on a global brand.
  • Excellent experience in briefing & managing agencies, and managing design & video production projects through to final delivery.

Other things we're looking for (key criteria)

  • Stakeholder management and excellent interpersonal skills, preferably with experience of working across multiple content providers (prod labels in our case) and across international markets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management, administrative & IT skills and strong organisational ability with attention to detail and flair.
  • Strong team player with a can do attitude
