Job Title: Senior Marketing Consultant

Contract Type: 6 Month Fixed Term

Location: Alderley Edge or London

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We are seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Consultant to join our Employer Marketing team on a 6-month fixed term contract in either our London or Alderley Edge offices. The role will involve managing the development and delivery of market leading communications targeted at Employers, that support the overall Brand and Marketing strategy and delivery of our trading objectives. At Royal London we value flexible working, and this position will be a 50% hybrid role.

You will be responsible for delivering consistently high quality, innovative and relevant communications that engage, enthuse, and inform our target audience. Lead cross-functional campaign teams working collaboratively with all colleagues in Brand and Marketing and the wider business to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of marketing activity. Ensure the audience view is embedded in all marketing activity across the funnel (B2B, B2C, B2B2C and B2B2B2C). Make effective use of data and insight to set campaign objectives and monitor campaign activity, adjusting as appropriate, reporting to Marketing Manager and other relevant senior stakeholders. Manage campaign budgets.

About the role

  • Plan, develop and deliver marketing communications and content in support of the overall marketing plan, applying the most effective media and communication channels. Ensure marketing activity supports the delivery of business targets and other key strategic objectives including building the Royal London brand.
  • Day-to-day responsibility for campaigns and initiatives including delivery planning, resource alignment and responsibility for budget.
  • Manage, planning and delivering media campaigns, including working with third party agencies on planning, creative development, and performance reporting.
  • Set clear campaign objectives and measures that align with commercial targets and use data and insights to continuously test, learn, and optimise marketing activity.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver marketing to chosen audience groups, working with stakeholders across the Brand and Marketing function, other parts of the business and external agencies.
  • Strong digital marketing skills.

About you

  • Financial services experience required.
  • Experience of planning and running large integrated marketing campaigns including budget and risks.
  • Excellent understanding of marketing communication tools and techniques including paid media.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of how to apply brand and language guidelines.
