Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

OVERVIEW

The Senior Marketing Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Marketing Team by co-ordinating and executing marketing activities, managing administrative tasks and assisting with the recreation and implementation of marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The aim is to establish and maintain fluid and collaborative communication between all elements of the business and business stakeholders. Working closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing, the successful candidate will be a multi-disciplinary marketer, who is comfortable working across all mediums including digital and traditional marketing platforms.

The breadth of this role requires a savvy thinker who enjoys an environment where no two days are ever the same. The successful candidate will be happy behind a camera, writing interesting and compelling copy for the website and social posts, and be comfortable meeting and greeting clients and partners and supporting them in achieving successful events. This role is perfect for an individual looking for their first opportunity to put their marketing qualification or passion in practice and help the Coventry Building Society Arena build this role. They must also understand the importance of good working practices and have the experience and personality to demonstrate the value that marketing brings to a business.

LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign Co-ordination and Execution:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital, print and social media initiatives.
  • Co-ordinate the production of marketing material including brochures, flyers, email newsletters and social media content.
  • Track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.

Content, Creation and Management:

  • Support the creation of content for various marketing channels including website updates, blog posts and social media.
  • Assist in managing the company's social media accounts including scheduling posts, monitoring engagement and responding to comments.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing marketing materials.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identity trends, customer needs and competitive activities.
  • Analise data from marketing campaigns and market research to support decision making and strategy development.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management based on research findings.

Event Co-ordination:

  • Assist in the planning and co-ordination of marketing events including trade shows, product launches and webinars.
  • Handle logistics for events such as booking venues, managing registrations and co-ordinating with vendors.
  • Ensure marketing materials and promotional items are prepared and delivered on time for events.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the marketing team including scheduling meetings, managing calendars and handling correspondence.
  • Maintain and organise marketing files, documents and databases.
  • Assist with budget tracking and invoice processing.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Liaise with internal teams such as sales, product development and customer service to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with company goals.
  • Communicate effectively with external partners, vendors and agencies to co-ordinate marketing activities.
  • Provide support for cross functional projects as needed.

Qualifications

Relevant Qualifications

  • Formal marketing qualification, degree or similar
  • English and Maths GCSE minimum of a 4 or C grade
  • Master's degree in marketing or similar.

Relevant experience

  • Minimum of 2-4 years working within a marketing support role, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

Aptitude, skills and abilities

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and marketing software (e.g.: CRM, email marketing tools, social media platforms).
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g.: Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
