We are looking for a highly skilled Finance leader to join our senior team. The Finance Transformation Senior Manager will be responsible for driving innovation within Finance, delivering the Finance responsibilities for significant firmwide change projects, and for leading enhancements and changes for UK and Swiss Finance Platforms.

The role will include primary responsibility for driving Innovation within Finance or for Finance's contribution to firmwide change programmes:

Driving Innovation within Finance:

  • Work with teams across Finance to analyse and challenge existing ways of working, to drive standardisation across business teams within Finance, and to drive improvement to processes.
  • Supporting standardisation and alignment across North & South Europe (NSE).
  • Challenge and drive further adoption of the Global Finance Services (GFS) catalogue.
  • Deliver reporting on projects to give transparency on deadlines, accountability and risks.
  • These programmes of change will support the finance vision.

Ensuring finance supports, implements and also shapes firmwide change programmes:

  • Work across Finance to support interactions with the UK Transformation Office and their portfolio of projects.
  • Support implementation of critical projects including:
    • Storefront - to realign our businesses and how we go to market.
    • Integrated offerings - to support businesses working together across Europe.
    • NSE integration - to standardise and align Finance processes and teams.
    • Global Delivery Network - to facilitate colleagues offshore to work with UK clients.

People responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach 1-2 team members to deliver high-quality change and products to the UK and Swiss businesses.
  • Build and develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders across all areas of Finance.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

We would expect the successful candidate to have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Experience of driving projects to deliver Finance transformation.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience of working in professional services organisations and Finance functions.
  • Strong communicator and great stakeholder management.
  • Experience of working across international boundaries and organisational boundaries where leadership through influence is a core requirement.
  • Experience of driving continuous improvement, with experience of project management, change management and finance transformation projects.
  • Experienced chartered accountant.
  • Ideally understanding of the SAP S4 system.
  • People leader experience.

Key competencies:

  • Advanced MS PowerPoint, Project, Excel, SharePoint, SAP.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong project management competency.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, people focused and agile.
  • Commercial acumen and customer service orientation.

Finance and Legal

We provide financial management and accounting support that is aligned to each area of Deloitte's business as well as the leadership team. We prepare the statutory and regulatory reporting required for Deloitte LLP and several other areas, whilst our General Counsel provides legal advice to the Board, the Executive and the Managing Partners.

We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm). Our hybrid working policy

You'll be based in Milton Keynes or Birmingham with hybrid working but there is a requirement that the role holder will be able to travel to London as needed.
