Job Description

Job Purpose

To lead EPFL's oversight of its ACD-only Fund Sponsors and Delegate Service Partners (delegates). To monitor the performance of delegates to ensure they perform within all relevant laws, regulations and agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily oversight, document tasks, resolve issues, ensure regulatory compliance, review procedures, and engage with the Relationship Management Team.
  • Oversee service delivery for Portfolio Valuation, Financial Reporting, and Transfer Agency; promote team knowledge sharing; address underperformance; and manage team succession and recruitment.
  • Conduct regular assessments, provide feedback and training, and ensure compliance with the Group's Conduct Risk policy.
  • Ensure compliance with EPFL policies, provide input to Relationship Management & Business Development teams, and maintain clear and accurate correspondence with sponsors, funds, and delegates.
  • : Document objectives, benefits, scope, risks, and delivery timescales for all internal change management initiatives.
  • Support the Business Development function, articulate EPFL's value proposition, and assist with business implementation procedures.
  • Propose compensation and reward matters, negotiate terms with suppliers, ensure fair treatment of sponsors and investors, and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and manage risks, embed internal control systems, review delegate oversight processes, and ensure understanding and application of risk policies.

Qualifications

Key Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience of working at a senior level within a financial services company.
  • Detailed operational knowledge of end-to-end processing within an Asset Servicing and / or Fund Governance business.
  • Expert understanding of the financial services industry and investment markets with a good knowledge of key industry trends and best practice within the Authorised Funds sector.
  • Extensive experience of operating within the FCA regulatory framework, with a detailed working knowledge and understanding of current legislation and future regulatory developments pertaining to Fund Governance functions.
  • Experience in managing delegate service providers.
  • Extensive experience of operating within a risk management framework together with a thorough understanding of the risks and threats pertaining to Fund Governance functions.
  • Extensive experience of developing, managing and delivering change management initiatives within a delegate service environment.
  • Exposure to decision making and strategic planning at a senior level internally and with outsourced service providers..
  • Extensive experience of leading and managing a support function and supervising regulated individuals within a T&C framework.
  • Sound understanding of corporate governance.
  • Proven track record of managing departmental budgets

Professional Qualifications and Education

  • CISI IOC qualification (or equivalent minimum level 4)
