As Senior Manager in our Oracle Cloud Engineering group, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design, architecture, and delivery of complex Oracle Cloud solutions for our diverse client base. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, managing project teams, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the growth of our Oracle Cloud practice. This role requires a deep technical understanding of the combination of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS & PaaS) and Oracle Applications Cloud (SaaS), combined with technical, leadership and client-facing capabilities.
This Technical Lead role will further the Oracle Cloud Security expertise in our Oracle practice, you will have the opportunity to:
- Solution Architecture: Lead the architecture and technical solutioning to apply security controls frameworks such as the NCSC Cloud Security Principles, Cyber Assessment Framework Indicators of Good Practice, to large-scale Oracle Cloud implementations, migrations, and transformations.
- Implementation & Engineering: Lead and define the detailed design and engineering of Oracle Cloud services (e.g. Vault, Data Safe, Cloud Guard, Vulnerability Scanning, Network Firewall) that are configured to implement, monitor, compliance check, security controls though project delivery lifecycle and live service operations.
- Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical guidance and hands-on support across various Oracle Cloud services, including operating system hardening, audit and logging, storage and data retention, zero trust networking, key & secret management, database management, identity and access management.
- Team Leadership & Development: Coach and advise cloud applications led enterprise transformation. Mentor & develop junior consultants and engineers, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
- Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with client security stakeholders, acting as the trusted advisor overseeing the protection of client data and client assets through design, implementation, operate lifecycles. Manage with the client where there are deviations in design & security principles, developing and guiding mitigation strategies.
- Project Delivery: Oversee the delivery of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure projects, managing technical teams, project timelines, and quality of deliverables. Provide guidance and frameworks embedding DevSecOps into delivery methodologies.
- Business Development: Support business development activities, including contributing to proposals, presenting solutions to prospective clients, and estimating effort. Provide inputs and guidance for asset development, strategic investments.
- Innovation: Maintain awareness of cloud vendor developments, trends, and emerging technologies, contributing to Deloitte's intellectual capital, challenging status quo approaches for continuous development of innovative solutions.
- Quality Assurance & Risk Management: Ensure the technical quality of solutions, adherence to architectural standards, and proactive identification and mitigation of technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Essentials:
- Extensive cloud security experience in IT consulting or a similar role, focused specifically on Oracle Cloud technologies, including cloud infrastructure and cloud applications.
- Architectural acumen with a strong track record in defining and responding to architectural principles to design robust, scalable, secure Oracle cloud solutions.
- Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams, and broader program teams, on complex Oracle Cloud implementation or migration projects.
- Technical depth of understanding and hands-on experience with a broad range of Oracle Cloud services, including:
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Landing Zone variants.
- Network Segregation and Security: Virtual Cloud Networks, Load Balancers, Web Application Firewall, Network Firewall, Virtual Private Network
- Identity and Access Management: Identity Domains, Multi Factor AuthN, Federated AuthN, Privileged Access Mgmt, OAuth, SSH, SSL.
- Cloud Security Posture Mgmt: Cloud Guard, Data Safe, Vulnerability Mgmt, Operating System Mgmt, Auditing & Logging, Security Incident Event Monitoring.
- Enabling Technologies: Integration Cloud (OIC), Visual Builder (VBCS), Analytics Cloud (OAC), Autonomous Database (ADB).
- Hold relevant Oracle Cloud certifications (e.g. OCI Architect Professional, OCI Security Professional, OCI Observability Professional).
- Proficient in DevSecOps & Agile methodologies, with experience informing & implementing the SAST & DAST controls for CI/CD pipelines for Oracle Cloud solutions.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, a pragmatic approach to overcoming technical challenges, ability to structure ambiguity to coalesce inputs factors to the required solution.
- Ability to travel when required.
- Able to pass UK Government SC clearance vetting.
Desirables:
- Qualifications or certifications with industry recognised security bodies.
- Experience with other public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Industry-specific knowledge relevant to Deloitte's client base (e.g. Public Sector, Financial Services, Private Sector).
