As the Senior Manager for Marketing Strategy, Planning & Communication, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the growth and market presence in the diverse EMEA region. From developing portfolio strategies to developing integrated marketing plans & position the Orica brand to the external market, and you'll lead a dynamic team and effective partnering with business leaders to execute impactful strategies that resonate with our target audiences and drive business objectives.

What you will be doing

Strategy & Planning

  • Supporting the EMEA region with the development of Orica's regional portfolio strategy and five-year plan with a strong focus on developing the company's growth agenda and on 'where to play' and 'how to play' including being the regional conduit for the country entry and exit governance.
  • Partner with regional business, commercial and new technology teams to develop bottom-up strategy for the specific areas and supports development of the aggregated regional strategy engaging the EMEA RMT and group stakeholders as required.
  • Support in developing and proposing new business models and helps business owners with developing and executing plans, as required.
  • Responsible for the approval and oversight of commercial offers, contracts and pricing mechanisms to ensure alignment with the strategy execution and pricing policies.

Communications

  • Regional Marketing Communications: develop and maintain Orica's external brand positioning within mining, quarry, construction, and oil & gas markets and delivers effective communications services managing trade shows, marketing campaigns and internal and external communications.
  • Voice of Customer program in region: accountable for successful execution of regular surveys and analysis of insights on customer needs and Orica's performance against the expectations. The Voice of the Customer program is designed to develop stronger customer relationships.
  • This role will have dedicated interaction with the regional management team, Group functions, external stakeholders, and a constant interface with senior leaders in the technology and marketing teams

What you will bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, marketing, finance or equivalent (post-graduate highly regarded). Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, science or equivalent also highly regarded.
  • Role ideally suited to individuals with 10+ years' work experience, in industrial sales and marketing, domain consultancy, business strategy, business operations, marketing communications in a B2B context.
  • Proven structured thinking, problem solving, analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Advanced skills in SAP, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud and PowerBI
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommendations, coupled with the ability to influence and present to senior key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience project managing and driving complex growth projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in marketing and communications including strategic planning, brand, communications.
