Job Description

What will you be doing ?

We are looking for experienced Senior Manager - Stockfile to join the Settlement Operations team in Glasgow. You will be responsible for providing assistance and support to the relevant Head of the team and deputise where required. You will undertake the relevant duties associated with your business area and carry out all tasks to a high standard, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time. Ensuring you and your team are adhering to all controls, regulatory guidelines and procedures that affect the business area.

It is a unique opportunity, which will enable you to have an overview of projects and changes happening on a leadership level across the business and be an active participant during management meetings.

This role offer hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

As a Senior Manager - Stockfile, your responsibilities will include among others

• Providing technical advice to assist in resolving complex issues or queries which arise within the team.
• Supporting the Head of Department in the implementation of group wide projects and capabilities.
• Working with the Head of Department to review business initiatives, policies and products from an operational perspective to ensure that they are fully supportable.
• Contributing to the change management programme relevant to their area and actively manages the development and delivery of changes to operational and systems infrastructure.
• Regularly completing Training Needs Analysis of team members to ensure they have the required skill and knowledge to perform their role.
• Actively seeking improvements of operational capabilities of the team with a view to achieving servicing efficiencies.
• Ensure that knowledge of direct reports is kept up to date and that industry, regulatory and internal changes are appropriately communicated.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should

• Be CISI IOC level 3 qualified
• Significant Operations experience gained within financial services or an outsourced provider.
• Experience of managing a team and its individual members, including delivering effective appraisals, performance management, etc.
• Demonstrable and practical knowledge of the regulatory environment relating to investment management and in particular settlement operations.
