Job Description

This role is based in one of the key Visa Europe cities including London, Madrid, Germany, Paris, Milan, supporting Visa Europe's 37 markets. The role reports into the Director, SMB Solutions Sales

You will work within the Visa Commercial Solutions EU SMB Solutions Sales Specialists team, which is responsible for driving an acceleration in VCS SMB revenue and improving Visa's SMB solutions and Go To Market. As part of the team, you will be expected to work with internal stakeholders as well as clients to help build a strong VCS SMB narrative. You may be expected to attend and represent Visa at industry events.

  • Work and partner with cluster experts, Global VCS Product and EU Consumer Product, as well as other Visa teams like Merchant & Acquiring, Cross-Border as seen fit to deliver SMB focused products
  • Support a product pipeline and the SMB narrative, bringing the One Visa for SMB to life
  • Act as a deep subject matter expert for VCS SMB solutions, providing specialist knowledge and support to cluster vertical specialists on sales pitches, product rules, operating risks, pricing etc.
  • Contribute to VCS SMB solution discovery and co-creation with pan-EU SMB lighthouse clients, and support cluster vertical specialists to do the same with cluster/market clients
  • Own GTM, collateral creation, marketing and education of sales community for VCS SMB solutions, ensuring sales community is trained and equipped to sell
  • Gather client and market intelligence to drive core product optimisation and market readiness
  • Identify SMB growth opportunities through research and market feedback and develop value propositions and narratives to address client needs leveraging the best of Visa capabilities

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

- The successful applicant will have experience in Small Medium Business payments or SMB banking sales, innovation or propositions roles
- Excellent knowledge of SMB payments and global payment systems
- Strong understanding of the issues and challenges for small businesses
- Talent for story telling and bringing people into a journey
- Excellent relationship skills and credibility to work with internal and external peers and more senior stakeholders
- Experience working in a complex multicultural matrix environment and ability to work through change
- A strong degree of self-direction and accountability with focus on delivery
- High orientation towards teamwork, good attitude towards cross functional working
- Fluency in English with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Fluency in another European language viewed favourably
