The Finance Strategy team is part of the wider Deloitte Finance Transformation team which supports CFOs to imagine, deliver and run the future of their Finance organisations. We support CFOs across an array of industries, including in (re)insurance, helping senior finance leaders to transform their Finance functions.
Deloitte's Reinsurance practice is growing as we take on more clients across the insurance (cedants), reinsurance broking and reinsurance sub-sectors. We advise them on how to transform the way they operate their businesses, making the most of leading technology to deliver better results for their customers.

We're looking for an ambitious Senior Manager to join our growing Finance Strategy practice. If you're passionate about reinsurance finance, encompassing technology, data management, and process optimisation, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Senior Manager in our Finance Strategy practice, you will have the opportunity to deliver in the following areas:
- Direct and deliver impactful reinsurance transformation projects for our global clients, guiding teams to exceptional results while providing expert finance advice.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, becoming their trusted advisor on all matters related to reinsurance finance.
- Play a pivotal role in expanding our reinsurance practice through thought leadership, knowledge sharing, team development, and identifying new market opportunities.
- Partner with leading technology providers to develop and deliver tailored solutions for our clients.
- Maintain a keen understanding of market trends and develop innovative reinsurance finance solutions, establishing Deloitte as a thought leader.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and knowledge sharing within the reinsurance practice.

You will be a highly entrepreneurial self-starter. This role is critical to the continued growth and success of the Finance Strategy team and will play a part in building, developing and inspiring this community. You will have the following skills and experience:
Essential
- Successful track record of collaborating across Finance and other functions to ensure accurate reinsurance transaction recording and robust controls.
- Proven ability to identify and evaluate opportunities for process improvement across the entire reinsurance process.
- Proven expertise in complex reinsurance accounting, particularly ceded accounting, within the London market.
- Significant experience in outwards (ceded) reinsurance finance, ideally within a transformation or operational role.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve root causes of finance issues within reinsurance, implementing effective corrective actions.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to articulate complex ideas, and effectively manage key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to support leadership in the structuring and delivery of projects.
- Proven ability to support junior team members in person and remotely.
- Strong people management and development skills with a strong focus on team development.
Desirable
- Qualified ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
- A proven track record of setting up or enhancing Finance oversight frameworks, controls and governance structures.
- Experience working across ceded reinsurance accounting systems.
- Excellent programme management discipline including project commercials.

Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
