POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, One Yield Systems Support EMEA is a key member of the EMEA Revenue Management Operations team. The Continent One Yield support is responsible for driving increased usage and adoption of all One Yield system recommendations including but not limited to RPO, GPO, PRP, Hurdles, Attribute Pricing and user system overrides. The Sr. Manager will be responsible to assess and optimize revenue management system adoption, identify needs, develop and execute action plans for designated hotels (e.g. managed and franchised) within the Continent.
The Senior Manager, One Yield Systems Support will be responsible for sharing Continent user needs and opportunities regarding revenue management system enhancements, and best practices to the HQ Revenue Management Systems team for continued improvement and enhancement of system capabilities. The position will also be responsible for participating and documenting business requirements for new Revenue Management Systems initiatives and enhancements. The position will also support department and/or function objectives. Generally, works with considerable independence, developing action plans and related operational revenue management processes.
SCOPE
The Senior Manager, One Yield Systems Support EMEA supports mainly within the operational areas of Revenue Management for EMEA.
- Location requirements: The location of this position is preferably Germany and UK
- Language Requirements: High proficiency (speaking, reading and writing) in English is required.
- Travel Requirements: Business travel is estimated at 30%, fluctuates based upon priorities & initiatives.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Continent Revenue Management Systems Support
- Responsible for serving as the One Yield subject matter expert providing system capability support to hotels in the Continents; partnering with RM Operations to facilitate workshops and training to drive revenue management system usage and adoption across Managed and Franchised hotels.
- Partner with RM Operations to conduct systems trainings and audits and create user/hotel actions plans to drive increased adoption and usage of revenue management system recommendations.
- Complete revenue management system audits including validating set-up, usage and user engagement metrics for all One Yield capabilities including RPO, PRP, Hurdles, Attribute pricing, GPO, Revenue Planning etc.
- Provide Continent user feedback and opportunities to the HQ Revenue Management System teams for development of new and enhanced revenue management capabilities.
- Obtains alignment with RM Operations lead and oversees efforts, including developing plans and deliverables, identifying opportunities, reporting on the process/progress to senior management, and resolving /raising issues where appropriate.
- Responsible for the pull through implementation plans within Continent for new revenue capabilities within revenue management systems (e.g. One Yield for DTT)
- Provides recommendations to improve the effectiveness of revenue management processes and programs.
- Deliver presentations related to the revenue management systems roadmap project execution and management to stakeholders (e.g. Owners, Franchise Principals, Continent Leadership Teams and Associates)
- Supports the pull through of Revenue Management projects working across functions and disciplines (Loyally, Global Operations, Distribution, Digital) to meet objectives.
- Ensures training and communication plans are defined, validated and executed to support effective rollout and adoption within the Continent.
- Is a business partner to define / standardize Revenue Management processes related to pricing (transient, group), inventory management, and analysis.
- Provide Continent feedback and prioritization on the development of new and enhanced capabilities across all revenue management systems.
- Managing Program/Project Management
- Actively participate in the design and documentation of business requirements for new initiatives and enhancements to existing revenue management capabilities
- Work in partnership with the HQ Revenue Management Systems teams on the priorities of system fixes and enhancements.
- Support and drive implementation plans for new revenue capabilities within Revenue Management Systems across all hotels.
- Work in partnership with the Learning Development, Learning Delivery, and RM Field Support teams to ensure proper training content is developed, delivered, and sustained effectively.
- Partners with EMEA RM Operations team to schedule Office Hours, Market Visits and other post-launch sustainment activities
- Reviews all revenue management systems training materials for accuracy and clarity.
- Validates that Revenue Management systems communication and change management activities are coordinated across the discipline to ensure a continent perspective.
- Reviews all communications and change management content for accuracy and clarity.
- Partner with the HQ Revenue Management Systems teams to define and assist with measurement of key revenue management system usage and adoption metrics across the Continent (including managed and franchised holes)
- Builds partnership/synergy with Marriott's Owner Franchise Services Team to ensure effective pull through new revenue management initiatives & launches to reach strong adoption rates by franchise hotels
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with both internal and external (e.g. Owners, Franchise Principals) across the organization.
- Provides targeted and timely communication of results, achievements and challenges to direct reports, peers, corporate and continent leaders.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Eight or more years of Revenue Management work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
- Lodging/hospitality industry experience across multiple brands.
- College Degree preferred (Hospitality) or equivalent experience.
Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate the following skills:
- Possesses excellent knowledge of Marriott's systems (MARSHA, One Yield, High Performance Pricing, etc. and property management systems) and how they relate to one another
- Possesses excellent knowledge of Marriott's distribution channels (OTA, wholesaler, etc), in relation to Marriott's system connectivity
- Has excellent knowledge of revenue management concepts/principles, tactics, tools and processes
- Has strong analytical skills and the ability to make recommendations based on analysis
- Possesses strong deductive reasoning
- Possesses attention to detail and follows through to conclusion
- Ability to understand business needs and identify areas of opportunities
- Being able to translate business needs into actions; ensures that all work is completed effectively; solves problems and monitors the progress of work against schedules and budgets; maintains high performance standards.
