This role manages the management information, reporting and operations for the newly formed Social Impact team.

It is important that we can articulate the impact of our work to help tell our story, drive improvements and evidence the difference we are making to the societies in which we work.

This role has been established to tell a more holistic story of our impact across the areas of responsible business, social value, World climate and our client work. It requires an analytical individual with a strong understanding of data and a pragmatic approach to measurement.

  • Ownership of the firm's strategy for impact reporting. Development of a joined up approach and strategy for social impact reporting across the firm, aligned to the priorities and direction of travel from both European and Global colleagues
  • Ownership of the team's year end data reporting requirements (input into Annual Review, Global reporting, assurance processes and external data frameworks)
  • Feeding into the firm's approach to CSRD
  • Supporting with the development and maintenance of the governance structures related to social impact
  • Working with team members across the social impact team to utilize insights and intelligence to continuously improve our impact in society and differentiate ourselves in the market (including using trends and client feedback)
  • Overall oversight and management of our supporting software and technology (volunteer hub, power BI dashboards)
  • Drive UK data collection for the societal elements of CSRD
  • Support in managing the firm's social impact budget
  • Providing relevant info and data to the UK World Climate impact reporting team
  • Exploring the opportunity and requirements around a CRM management system to provide oversight to all of our relationships
  • Deliver required impact reporting required by NSE to support UK led Beyond Value Chain Mitigation (BVCM) and Internal Value Chain Mitigation (IVCM) projects
  • Development of a coordinated approach for feeding into RFPs
  • Ownership of Social Value Management Information (MI) and reporting, including:
    • Producing regular MI packs for GPS and all sectors within GPS and the SV team
    • Supporting GPS sector teams with relevant insights and intelligence to develop client conversations and relationships
  • Strategic oversight of delivery tracking, including:
    • Maintaining our SV Delivery Power BI dashboard to ensure accuracy and integrity of the data
    • Maintaining relationships with external providers in the market including SVP, SVUK, and Thrive working towards a long term impact measurement solution
  • Leading on our evaluation strategy and management, including potential selection and eventual management of an external social impact assessment organisation and impact/KPI measurement and reporting
  • Maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, including NSE & Global impact and evaluation team, GPS leadership, Public Sector Bid Team and Responsible Business to share MI, align efforts and manage a diverse team within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution, including taking line manager responsibility for two roles

The successful candidate will have:

  • Analytical thinker with measurement and reporting knowledge or experience, ideally in the ESG space
  • Advanced excel skills and experience working with large data sets.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Combination of strategic thinker and data driven who is comfortable working independently
  • Experience of working with and influencing senior stakeholders (both internal and external)
  • Experienced team leader
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines ,
  • Collaborative and strong team player
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills,
  • Ability to prioritise and self-manage
  • Understanding of the Firm and our Responsible Business/Purpose activities

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm). You'll be based in one of our regional offices with hybrid working. Our hybrid model enables our people to collaborate, connect and innovate in both a virtual and physical capacity. As well as remote working, you'll attend your local office, virtual collaboration spaces and client sites, depending on the requirements of the role.
