Senior Manager, Market Access East & North Europe
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Market Access Manager to support our market access strategies across multiple countries, including countries in the European Union, Nordics, UK, Ireland, CIS, Central and Eastern-European countries.
This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills to drive market access initiatives and ensure the successful launch and sustainability of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health economics, evidence-based medicine, stakeholder engagement, and economic modeling for health economic assessments.
- Be able to develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies for assigned regions.
- Prepare and present evidence-based value dossiers and health economic data to support reimbursement submissions, including preparing/localising economic models - together with local teams and/or external vendors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, and local Commercial Teams, to align market access strategies with overall business objectives.
- Directly engage or support engagement with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient advocates, payers, and government agencies, to advocate for product reimbursement and access.
- Lead or support negotiations with payers and health authorities to secure favourable pricing and reimbursement conditions.
- Provide guidance and support to local market access teams to ensure consistent implementation of strategies across regions.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, policy changes, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in health economics, evidence-based medicine, and market access regulations.
Leadership Responsibility: No direct reports
Must have:
- Advanced degree in health economics is ideal, or alternatively in either economics, public health, medicine, pharmacy, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record of successful market access strategies and reimbursement negotiations in some major countries from the European Union, Nordics, UK, Ireland, CIS, and Eastern-European countries. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in market access, health economics, with working knowledge of reimbursement systems in key European countries, including HTA markets such as England, Ireland, Nordics, and/or Netherlands.
- Strong knowledge of health economic modelling, evidence-based medicine, and health technology assessment (HTA) processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Position will report into regional Sr Director of Market Access, with whom there will be shared responsibilities.
- Fluency in English; additional languages relevant to the regions are a plus.
- Full-time position with expected availability for travel and flexible working hours - 40h/week with at least 2 days of in-person office presence (London-based) are expected.
Nice to have:
- Expertise in Rare/Ultra-rare diseases therapeutic areas.
- Experience in evidence-generation projects to support Market Access, preferably in the aforementioned areas or countries.
- Experience in innovative approaches to secure reimbursement such as Managed Access Agreements, Outcomes-based Agreements, innovative contracting.
- R&D experience/knowledge to be valued as an advantage.
- Expertise in enterprise resource planning tools as management systems like Ariba®, Veeva®, and/or similar systems.
- Knowledge on Microsoft software suite or equivalent.
