What you'll do
We're recruiting for a Senior Manager - Health, Safety & Environment to join our UK Property team. You'll provide leadership and support for the business in a positive, challenging and agile environment. What's important to us is ensuring our people (including our partners and suppliers) are safe and well - we're passionate about doing the right thing. We're looking for someone who approaches HSE in a way that aligns the best in traditional safety management and also see the opportunities for further improvement. Complying with laws and regulations is the minimum standard, we believe HSE is about working with people and the business to get the best outcomes. We've got a great culture and now we're looking to see what's possible to enhance this.
- Set the HSE strategic direction for the business and implement effective plans to deliver the strategy
- Provision of high quality information and communications - preparing clear and concise reporting information
- Assessing and evaluating risk and communicating HSE risk profiles
- Representing the HSE team at Leadership meetings and reviews
- Monitoring incidents, progressing outcomes and learning from incidents and making positive change
- HSE performance improvement - collating and presenting dashboard and trackers
- Global HSE objectives - tracking UK completion and liasing with Group
- Maintaining relevant Management Systems standards - ISO45001, ISO14001, Achillies Verify, SafeContractor
- Identify HSE competency requirements across UK business and ensuring compliance
- Provide representation at external forums
- Assisting the business to meet the requirements of industry licenses and standards
- Managing budgets, strategy and communication plans
- Maintain HSE governance across organisation
- Supplier engagement to ensure effective HSE management throughout the supply chain
Who you are
- Significant HSE experience gained within a corporate environment & high risk HSE environments
- Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health
- Environmental Technical qualification
- Chartered Membership of the Institute of Occupational Health & Safety
- Self -driven with ability to work with the minimum of supervision
- Able to build and maintain positive working relationships
