Job Description
The Senior Manager, Events & Sponsorship is a key role in our team and is responsible for helping to shape and to deliver critical components of the marketing strategy, namely our events agenda and our sponsorship activity.
Our approach to supporting Shawbrook's strategic goals is to:
a) build awareness of the brand, b) demonstrate our credibility and expertise, and c) to create opportunities to engage with customers, prospects and partners. Our comprehensive events, exhibitions and hospitality calendar coupled with how we activate our sponsorship assets, plays a significant role in delivering that approach.
To deliver brilliant branded experiences for our people, customers and intermediaries, you will have the ability to manage multiple events throughout the year and to be creative in their execution - bringing the brand to life and supporting our wider objectives. For example, our business model is built upon an ability to combine the best of technology and data with the expertise of our people, which is something that we should aspire to demonstrate through our approach to events and exhibitions.
Reporting into the Head of Marketing, Enterprise, you and a team of three Events & Sponsorship Executives will develop and deliver the events calendar working in close collaboration with your Strategy & Planning and Communications colleagues. Our comprehensive programme of events includes multiple trade shows and exhibitions throughout the year; large format internal events; and organised hospitality, including the management of our Corporate Box at Saracens.
Demand for events and hospitality is ever-growing, so your ability to not just multi-task but to prioritise is key. Thinking practically and creatively is also an essential quality and you'll need the ability to think of new ways to deliver support in the most efficient way leveraging the resources available to you - both inside and outside the team and the bank.
Saracens is our primary sponsorship asset, which we leverage to help build awareness of the Shawbrook brand; to create unique and compelling content; and to host clients, staff and intermediaries at matches, delivering an exclusive experience for all.

- Work with our People team, including our Chief People & Marketing Officer, as well as our employee comms team, to deliver our largest set-piece internal events - helping to embed the brand and bring our culture to life.
- You will have a significant budget to manage and to meet.
- You will also be familiar with working in a regulated sector and the importance of delivering within a highly professional environment. Taking our responsibilities to always treat customers brilliantly is also deeply ingrained in everything we do - including the events we deliver and the sponsorship assets we activate.
- You will work closely with Senior Management, managing your key stakeholders and their expectations to create positive working relationships and outcomes for all.
