Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager for the Engineering Lead role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the insurance domain and extensive experience in creating, running, and scaling large engineering teams across multiple geographies. This role requires a visionary leader who can inspire and drive teams to achieve excellence in software development and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage large engineering teams across various geographical locations, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee large-scale transformation projects involving multiple technologies, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Coach and mentor team members to foster growth and development, creating a high-performing culture.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in delivery.
• Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for engineering teams, driving progress and accountability.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and integrate these technologies into engineering processes to transform the software development lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with senior technical and non-technical client stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment on project goals.
• Maintain strong documentation practices to ensure clarity and transparency in all engineering processes.
• Develop and articulate a clear vision for the future of engineering within the organization, inspiring teams to work towards achieving that vision.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in the insurance domain.
• Extensive experience in managing and scaling large engineering teams across multiple geographies.
• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale transformation projects with multiple technologies.
• Strong people management skills with a focus on coaching and developing high-performing teams.
• A continuous improvement mindset, with a track record of identifying and implementing process enhancements.
• Proficient in establishing and driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for engineering teams.
• In-depth knowledge of the latest advancements in AI and their application in software development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing senior technical and non-technical client stakeholders.
• A background in software development, with hands-on experience in programming.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to create and communicate a compelling vision for the future.
