Senior Manager - Commercial Enablement

The Cars commercial team exists to ensure we have the strongest possible relationships, contracts and commercials within the car rental market, ensuring we deliver an outstanding offer to our customers and our partners. The sophisticated suite of operating models that exists within car rental requires the Commercial team to have the optimum integrations, data, reporting and tooling both for internal usage and for our Supply Partners. Handling partner relationships with regard to innovation and new technical developments is fully within the control of the team, requiring close working with the wider Revenue Management, Supply Management, Product and Engineering functions. The Commercial team is accountable for ensuring we deliver company revenue and net margin targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for owning and driving Booking.com's commercial strategy across our product and innovation roadmaps, by leading the team in the development of partner opportunities and playing the leading role in ensuring we have best in class partner benefits. Within this scope, this role is accountable for the entire portfolio of supply partners, including but not limited to, engaging with partners to gain insights into the wider industry, defining and scoping a clear strategy for our partner proposition, product/integration design, prioritization and execution, and all important metrics and rules associated. This role requires meaningful commercial and relationship skills, likely interacting with our partners at a senior level. As such this role requires outstanding understanding of the technical requirements of our business and partners' businesses, commercial levers such as commissions, rebates, payment terms, service SLAs and contract best practice in order to deliver outstanding all round results. This role is also responsible for sizing and planning the opportunity size for New Revenue Streams, leading the team to deliver a vision of new money-making opportunities into senior leadership and capturing the backing and agreement for future development. Responsible for inspiring a culture of high performance, through effective and inspiring leadership of their team.

Senior Manager - Commercial Enablement is responsible for the ongoing evolution of all the supply integrations, tooling and product development within the commercial team and the discovery, sizing and development of new revenue streams. This role covers 100% of our global supply base.

  • Accountable for delivering our commercial initiative targets (including but not limited to MPS, Upsell metrics and Promotional mix KPIs) for all geographical regions
  • Responsible for supporting the development of global opportunities including, but not limited to, Identifying and Implementing partner innovation strategies, adapting to new ways of working including finding efficiencies, developing and maintaining supply partner relationships, commercial influence and technical relationships with all partners
  • Supports the formulation of Booking.com/cars global strategy into a globally relevant Commercial Proposition plan and acts as the lead in enablement
  • Responsible for all supply facing innovation and new product development internally, working as the business lead alongside Product & Engineering owners. This role acts as the key business owner for product families focussed on supply tooling and customer products from partners
  • Responsible for driving innovation across our portfolio by influencing supply partners to embrace new services and products, developed from our new product development working alongside Product & Engineering
  • Acts to support best in class business reviews both internally with the Leadership team and externally with partners to ensure delivery of company targets and execution of market leading new innovation and customer experience through alignment and supporting the Supply Management department
  • Driving a high performance culture within the team. Oversees the staffing of the team with the best talent. Supports the development of individuals within the organisation. Steers and directs people and teams to allow them to achieve both organisational and individual objectives
  • Deliver quantity and quality insights on results and performance for information support to Booking.com;
  • Ensuring collaboration with other channels and functions within the organisation to achieve targets and critical metrics
