The Infrastructure and Capital projects team provides specialist commercial, procurement, finance raising and M&A advice to private and public sector clients. We operate across the infrastructure, energy and public services sectors.

Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects team has extensive experience of advising our clients on major procurements & complex transactions at the interface of the public and private sectors, from advising on initial commercial/financial strategy, market engagement, planning and running a transaction or procurement, contract structuring and negotiation, all the way through to contract exit and transition. Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects team has an exciting opportunity within the team for a Senior Manager level candidate. The role will combine typical project, commercial and corporate finance skills. The individual will work within a vibrant team advising government and private sector clients through all stages of the contracting life cycle of high profile and complex public sector programmes across a range of sectors. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading teams providing commercial and financial advice to public sector clients on major procurements or transformation programmes.
• Building strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on the major commercial and financial decisions.
• Independently managing an engagement / major workstream in a large programme with routine senior oversight.
• Being responsible for providing day-to-day oversight, leadership and support for more junior team members.
• Managing diverse teams with an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
• Supporting Directors and Partners to deliver marketing and business development activity; and
• Preparing research documents and proposals to support business development.

Technical skills and experience:

Essential

• Experience in a commercial, procurement and/or commercial focussed role within government, a private sector bidder or another advisory firm working on one or more of: PPP, project finance, outsourcing, franchising or similar service contracts;
• An understanding of the financial and commercial aspects of government infrastructure, technology and/or service contracts;
• Experience of working with financial models;
• Excellent report writing skills

Desirable

• Experience of designing and delivering complex procurements;
• A recognised procurement, accountancy or financial qualification (full or part qualified);
• Experience of business case and/or report writing; and
• Experience of working with contractual documentation for government infrastructure and/or service contracts.

Infrastructure and Real Estate

Our Infrastructure and Real Estate team supports both public and private sector clients on complex infrastructure, real estate, and capital projects. Typical engagements include urban regeneration, transport, energy and renewables, and occupier advisory to central government and large corporate companies.

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
