What you'll do

As the Senior Manager - Cloud Platform Engineering, at Vodafone, you will be responsible for leading the build and maintenance of Vodafone global and UK multi - cloud platforms. You will play a key role in driving the adoption of cloud ensuring the overall reliability, scalability, and security of these platforms. Your expertise in cloud platforms will be instrumental in shaping our global cloud strategy and guiding Vodafone engineering teams in leveraging cloud services effectively with a focus on improving developer productivity.

• You will lead the Build and Run of Vodafone UK and Global Cloud platform (TAAS)
• You will develop and execute a clear strategy for building and a sustainable operating model of our cloud platforms.
• You will oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery of the platform.
• You will define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the Cloud platform's reliability and performance.
• You will collaborate with our global cloud architects and engineers to design an efficient, scalable, and secure cloud platform architecture.
• You will oversee the development and deployment of the cloud platform also, working closely with development teams to integrate applications and services effectively.
• You will foster effective collaboration between cross-functional teams, such as development, operations, security, and product teams globally within Vodafone.
• You will communicate cloud platform updates, enhancements, and challenges to stakeholders including executives and other tenants / markets.

Who you are

• You will have a proven track record of leading Cloud and SRE Engineering teams with an in-depth understanding of the technologies, processes and architecture required for delivering high quality digital products at pace.
• You will have experience delivering, operating, and optimizing complex, distributed, secure and scalable solutions based on cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure) deployed via infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) to meet business requirements.
• You will drive a change in culture, through adoption of agile, lean practices and automation tools and looks for ways to improve collaboration between operations and development teams. Understands and applies DevSecOps values, principle and practices.
• You will have a deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle including multiple delivery methodologies with the ability to mentor, motivate and shape high performing teams.
• You will demonstrate a robust understanding of business needs, identifies and prioritises stakeholders, builds sustainable relationships to drive increased business performance and best value outcomes.
• You will be someone who role models by driving own development plan, focuses on team and individual development. Builds on people's strengths and supports them to grow and develop in line with their personal and professional potential aligned to the company strategy.
• You will have In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• You will be Proficient in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation & Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
