You will join the Children in Our Care and Leaving Care management team, working with 5 other Senior Managers and the Head of Service Jen Robertshaw.

About you...

Service Excellence - We are looking for an exceptional candidate with the knowledge, experience, and commitment to deliver the highest standards of service. You will help lead the Children in Our Care service to deliver the right service, at the right time, by the right people by ensuring your teams deliver, meeting objectives and driving success through excellent social work practice. You will demonstrate respect through self-awareness and active listening, valuing diverse perspectives and upholding fairness, transparency, and inclusivity.

Leadership - We seek a candidate with experience of operational leadership in management roles who can ensure the workforce delivers purposeful and effective social work and care intervention, engaging children, young people and families. You will have a strong focus on personal accountability, day-to-day management, and promoting effective teamwork. You will also contribute to strategic planning, engaging with key stakeholders, and overseeing broader performance. You will be involved in shaping the council's strategic direction and managing significant aspects of organisational performance.

Passion - You will be passionate about ensuring delivery of high-quality effective services, focussed on performance to ensure services deliver lasting and sustainable outcomes for children, young people, and their families. You will be visible and accessible, building trust through clear communication and fulfilling on commitments and you will encourage innovation by engaging with your teams to generate creative ideas and solutions.
