Job Description

Checkout.com is actively recruiting for a Senior Bid Manager to join our RFP Management team in London. We are seeking an individual with relevant experience in payments and bid management or a related field such as marketing, pre-sales, business development, account management or commercial involvement in the sales process.

The Senior Bid Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end bid process in close collaboration with our Commercial colleagues, in order to secure new customers and strategic contracts across various business lines and Checkout.com regions around the world. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, pre-sales, marketing, design, product and many others; to craft compelling proposals that reflect our unique value proposition and industry-leading approach to RFP management. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, a relentless drive for customer-centricity, and a deep understanding of the payments industry and Checkout.com's unique position within it.

You'll have the opportunity to manage RFPs from some of the world's most exciting and interesting organizations, contributing to the ongoing success of the Commercial organization and Checkout.com's broader success story. Key Responsibilities

  • Expert end-to-end management of RFx projects, including the project management, capture, team formation, content creation, review process and delivery of best-in-class RFP responses.
  • Capture management, including the identification of customer requirements and pain points, and the delivery of a win strategy through the development of an appropriate value proposition and win themes.
  • Collaborate with and manage internal stakeholders and partners, including commercial, marketing, design, technical, product and functional teams including legal, compliance, information security etc. throughout the bidding cycle.
  • Generate high-quality, persuasive and compelling sales materials which deliver our key messaging.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all types of RFx (including RFI, RFP and due diligence questionnaires).
  • Support other bid teams on high-value pitch opportunities.
  • Drive best bid practice throughout each RFx submission, and act as a bid champion.
  • Support the RFP Management team by leading back office tasks and ad hoc bid practices (including maintenance and continuous improvement of the bid library and our collateral).
  • Support sales with the presentation stages of RFP opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leading bids within the payments industry, or significant experience within a competitive tendering environment (bid/marketing/technical/sales).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (native English or high proficiency) with an ability to write compelling content to an international audience.
  • Excellent eye for detail and naturally driven by delivering quality.
  • Excellent bid writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Highly organized self-starter with the ability to prioritize shifting workloads and tasks effectively.
  • Solid experience in expert stakeholder management, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate, collaborate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Strong team player with the ability to support and lead as required.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple bids simultaneously, and delivering required quality of work against tight deadlines.
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to translate technical jargon into straightforward, influential business development content.
  • A strong team player with a can-do attitude and proficiency in problem-solving.
  • Expert cradle-to-grave bid management.
  • Commercial awareness and acumen.
  • Bid champion with a passion for winning RFPs.
  • People management experience is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in pitching and coaching presentation teams would be a bonus
  • Proficiency in G-Suite, MS Office and RFP software platforms.
