The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Manager - Bank Credit Analyst to work within our Products function in the banking arm of the business.
This role is responsible for leading credit rating activity on our banking counterparties ("Delivery Partners"). We have over 100 Delivery Partners across a broad range of financial institutions, together delivering over GBP 2.5bn of finance flows each year.
You will perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing the credit quality of banking counterparties. You will also collate and assess counterparty credit ratings, using credit rating agency data, balanced score cards and your own analysis to assess the appropriateness of external credit ratings and assign credit ratings to counterparties.
You will be expected to prepare and present credit analysis, on new and existing counterparties, for Board and Executive risk oversight forums, as well as Investment Committees and other decision-making forums and liaise with relevant stakeholders, including our second line risk function.
To be considered for this role you must have credit analysis experience, ideally from a rating agency or credit fund along with a good working knowledge of UK financial markets and sound analytical capabilities.
You will be an expert in the analysis of financial statements and financial information/reports and have experience in identification and assessment of financial risks.
Experience of managing key external and internal relationships in banking or the financial services sector is also essential.
If you have either rating agency background/experience of SME Lending/experience working with a distressed portfolio or experience within a risk function of a financial services company this would also be highly desirable.
