What makes this a great opportunity?

The Senior Brand Ambassador Excellence Manager is accountable for leading, developing and delivering the Brand Ambassador Strategy in the Global Travel Retail Channel which enables Excellence Execution standards for Suntory's Brand Ambassadors (BAs). In this role, you will be the Main Lead for Brand Ambassador Excellence ensuring a close working relationship between internal stakeholders. Aligning and collaborating on the needs for the channel, close relationships are essential with all Commercial, Marketing Teams, Retail Excellence and Brand Ambassadors Teams. Your role will be leading the strategy and developing the enablers for our BA's in our key Global Locations to effectively implement Outlet Standards that drive depletions and win share. With a strong focus on capability building, the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to translate and implement a full global training content and schedule depending on the key categories in specific regions with a focus on providing the right content to suit that market (translation, time zone, Shopper demographic, etc) for the 160+ strong BA team worldwide.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead, Develop and Roll out Globally BA Strategy in line with Outlet Standards (6P Tracking).
  • Recommend optimal coverage Plan for Suntory GTR BAs depending on Global Strategy
  • Develop and set the BA KPIs inline with Commercial Teams.
  • Develop and roll out the BA Training schedule, covering all key brands essential for winning share in key Locations.
  • Design effective training programs for BAs and develop all the required training materials.
  • A clear focus on brand education, to support activations and innovation launches and overall commercial objectives.
  • Ensure training tools are suitable for the Global team of BAs to ensure optimal engagement
  • Lead the development and continue to ensure all BA's leverage the Brand Ambassador Excellence platform our Education and Communication channel to inspire global connection and generate insight from the shop floor.
  • Facilitate training via the BA Digital Platform. Ensure all BA's complete essential training and score a pass mark of +80% on Knowledge Test
  • Develop and Set the overall Roles and Responsibilities for the BA's to maximise depletions in store. Ensure BA's are delivering on KPIs set by commercial teams and cover basic R&Rs like Out of Stock reporting and monthly Insight reports.
  • Create a framework for Consistent Ways of working. Ensure BA's are supported with contracts (signed both Suntory and customer/agency) that clearly details R&Rs and KPIs
  • Co-develop and Facilitate personalised Training Needs for specific locations throughout the year such as Activation planning and New Innovation releases
  • Support Commercial training with specific "Steps of the Call" to support depletion

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years of sales or retail experience within FMCG/spirits. At least 2 years of experience as commercial trainer. Travel Retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to navigate effectively, influence and thrive in a multicultural and diverse matrix structure.
  • Ability to demonstrate Vision into Strategy. Working within the industry to sell in opportunities that will drive business growth effectively.
  • Ability to influence global teams to deliver on Strategy
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a wide range of situations, and ability to embrace and drive change.
  • Team player with a strong collaborative approach able to build an inclusive and outperformance culture.
  • Customer focused and people oriented.
  • Critical thinking, analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to work within a deadline and deliver commercial KPIs.
  • In-depth understanding of retailers in a global market.
  • Fast learner, able to work independently.
  • Passionate, energetic and enthusiast.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage team, colleagues, and external stakeholders at various levels.
  • Proven experience as commercial trainer preferably in the liquor industry.
  • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools.
  • Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate training.
