Company Description

Job Description

This is a hybrid role where you'll work from the office at least 2 days per week (usually a Tuesday & Thursday).

Our goal at CityFibre is to unlock the digital potential of Britain by creating a broadband network that works seamlessly for everyone, every day. Powerful, gigabit-speed connections that enable people across entire communities to enjoy life in full flow. To do this, we make sure that our people's voices are heard, their ideas are welcomed, and everyone is given the opportunity to make a real impact.

What you can expect from us

Everyone at CityFibre has an important part to play, and we reflect that in our benefits. With a competitive salary depending on experience, when you join us, you'll also enjoy 25 days' holiday, a day off on your birthday, a day off to support a charity or organisation of your choice, a performance-related bonus scheme, and private healthcare.

How you'll change it up

Joining us as a Senior Management Accountant, you'll own financial reporting and support for all revenue verticals, cost of sales and associated gross margins. This means you'll be responsible for all month-end associated activities such as preparing and analysing the numbers, explaining variances against budget, providing some general insight into the impact and trends, and presenting results. You'll be crucial in the finance continuous improvement workstreams that look to improve processes, quality of data and automation. Day to day, this is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Maintaining revenue related records (including deferred and accrued revenue schedules) and reporting on figures associated with revenue
  • Be the subject matter expect for all revenue and IFRS15 topics such as contract modifications and sales incentives
  • Liaising with the Commercial and Contracts teams to ensure that revenue is recognised accurately in line with customer contracts
  • Reporting Sales and Delivery KPIs, liaising with those teams to ensure accurate reporting
  • Providing support and explanations to auditors for your areas of responsibility

What you'll bring to the role

You'll be a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong revenue accounting standard experience and good knowledge of IFRS15. You'll also bring the following with you:

  • Excel 'super-user' skills (pivot tables, vlookup, sumifs etc.)
  • Ability to business partner and collaborate with other teams across the business
  • Strong approach to process and continuous improvement
  • High attention to detail

We're looking for people who don't settle for 'good enough' and push things forward. If you've just found yourself thinking, 'I'd love to do this', we want to hear from you. Let's change it up.

Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging

Our people have a wide range of experiences and perspectives - and it's this diversity of thought that makes us who we are.
