Person specification
Knowledge, Skills & Performance
Essential criteria
- MRCPCH or equivalent
- Minimum of 24 months experience in General Paediatrics
- Competence in managing medical emergencies.
- An appropriate knowledge base, and ability to apply sound clinical judgement to problems
- A commitment to personal CPD
Desirable criteria
- Awards/distinctions whilst studying for 1st degree
- Previous experience in Paediatric Cardiology
- Valid Life Support Course (APLS, ATLS, ALS or similar)
- Involvement in Research & Publication
Safety & Quality
Essential criteria
- Understanding of the basic principles of evidence-based practice, patient safety, audit, clinical risk management, and clinical quality improvement initiatives.
- Ability to prioritise clinical need
- Ability to maximise safety and minimise risk
- Time management skills.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of audit/ Quality improvement project

Essential criteria
- Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with patients, professional colleagues and other people within a team

- English Language Skills: IELTS Overall 7.5, Speaking 7, Listening 7, Reading 7 Writing 7 , OET minimum grade B
