Person specification

Qualifications & Training

Essential criteria

• Primary Medical Degree
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Anaesthesia
• Advanced Life Support
• Primary FRCA (or equivalent)

Desirable criteria

• Final FRCA or EDAIC
• Minimum 12 months UK General Anaesthesia experience
• Minimum 12 months UK Obstetrics Anaesthesia experience

Teaching/Audit

Essential criteria

• Experience of Audit

Desirable criteria

• Postgraduate teaching courses or qualifications

Academic Achievements

Desirable criteria

• Distinctions or Prizes during postgraduate training
• Research & Publications

Interpersonal Skills

Essential criteria

• Organisation Skills
• Communication Skills
• Team working Skills

Other Requirements

Essential criteria

• Full registration (or eligible for full registration) with the General Medical Council
