Person specification

Education/Training/Qualificati

Essential criteria

  • FRCS (Tr&Orth) or equivalent
  • Full registration with GMC

Desirable criteria

  • Higher academic qualification (MD, MS, PhD)

Work Experience

Essential criteria

  • Recent experience and familiarity of UK hospital systems and practices
  • Minimum 6 years postgraduate experience including 4 years as an orthopaedic trainee in an approved training post, or equivalent.
  • Clinical and operative experience in shoulder and elbow surgery

Knowledge/Skils/Abilities

Essential criteria

  • Evidence of recent CME/ training progression for stage in career
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and develop junior medical staff
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of the MDT

Desirable criteria

  • Experience in audit including relevant to shoulder and elbow surgery
  • Experience in participating in and publishing of scientific research

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
