Person specification

Qualifications & Training

Essential criteria

  • Medical Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years' full time (or equivalent part time) hospital service in the ST1-2 grade or higher
  • Experience in General Haematology
  • MRCP

Desirable criteria

  • Experience in Malignant Haematology
  • Experience in Non-malignant Haematology

Audit

Essential criteria

  • Participation in Clinical Audit

Desirable criteria

  • Teaching Medical Students
  • Teaching Junior Medical Staff

Other Requirements

Essential criteria

  • Full registration (or eligible for full registration) with the General Medical Council

Interpersonal Skills

Essential criteria

  • Organisation Skills
  • Communication Skills

Desirable criteria

  • Leadership Skills

Academic Achievements

Desirable criteria

  • Publications in medical journals
  • Research experience relating to general haematology
