Senior Lecturer in Clinical Audit and Quality Improvement

The School wishes to appoint a highly motivated individual to join our enthusiastic and committed MBBS teaching team. You will assist the SSC Lead with the delivery and assessment of the student selected components (SSCs) in Years 3 and 4 of the UCLan MBBS programme. SSC3 and 4 take the form of a longitudinal project in audit and quality improvement respectively and are delivered in Projects take place in both primary, secondary and social care settings.

You will identify and maintain a portfolio of appropriate SSC opportunities and placement supervisors for delivery of SSCs and work with the Phase 1 SSC staff to ensure a spiral and integrated approach throughout the MBBS course. You will provide training and support for students and staff and will contribute to all aspects of assessment.

The successful candidate will hold a good honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and a professional teaching qualification or membership of the HE Academy. You will have experience of working within the NHS and will have significant experience of research methodologies, audit and service evaluation in a clinical setting.
