Senior Lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Nursing and Healthcare subject group at Leeds Beckett University, delivering education across a range of courses and contributing to our research ambitions. We are looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer to complement our Advanced Clinical Practice team. We are seeking an individual who is experienced in the field of advanced clinical practice and can provide high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of modules and courses, and support the growth of our expanding research portfolio. This is a full-time post, however we are willing to consider fractional contracts and job shares should the post holder wish to maintain clinical practice links.
You will have experience of working with learners in practice, designing, and delivering learning opportunities and have a good understanding of advancing practice. The ability to undertake and support research activity or develop your own research portfolio is desirable. Working co-operatively as a member of a team is essential.
You will hold a relevant Masters degree (or be close to completion), be a registrant with an appropriate professional body (NMC, HCPC, GPhC) and be able to demonstrate your credentials in advanced clinical practice. The successful candidate will primarily be involved in teaching learners undertaking the advanced clinical practice course. Alongside this, is the opportunity to develop your own academic career in teaching and research.
Our teaching team has a range of expertise in all areas of nursing and healthcare and are responsible for the educational portfolio which includes the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice, PG Dip Specialist Community Public Health Nursing, PG Diploma Community Specialist Practitioner, BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing, BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing (degree apprenticeship), BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing, BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing (degree apprenticeship), FdSc Nursing Associate, and other post qualifying continuing professional development courses. As a team we are committed to high quality teaching and learning for all our students using specialist teaching rooms, technology, simulation, and innovative placement experiences.
