About this Role
Senior Learning Mentor (HLTA) - 34.25 hours per week, 8.15am -4.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.15am - 3.30pm Friday, term time only (38weeks). Grade D - Step 1 Actual Annual Salary £21,560.49 (which is equivalentto a full-time salary of £27,779).
As part of our commitment to staff wellbeing RAISE Education Trust istrialling a two week half term break 19th to 30th October2026. Following this trial, should the Trust revert back to a one-week Octoberhalf term break from 2027 the contractual working weeks would increase to 39weeks and the salary would increase accordingly.
DeerPark School is a new state of the art seven-form secondary school which openedin September 2021. At present there are just under 1,000 students on rollacross Year 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11. We arepart of the RAISE Education Trust which comprises Deer Park Secondary School,Wildern Secondary School and Boorley Park Primary School. We will have a PAN of 1050 when full.

As a Senior Learning Mentor, we are seeking candidates who are highlymotivated and committed, with excellent communication skills. To coordinate anddeliver 1:1 and small group interventions, under the professional direction ofa qualified teacher, including planning, preparing, assessing, recording, andreporting on development, progress, and attainment, complement and support theprofessional work of teachers by developing strategies to support students inthe classroom and sharing these with classroom teachers and support and linemanage Learning Mentors to develop their support practice. Adaptability isessential as is the capacity to relate well to both students and teachers.
A desire to make a difference will be equally valued along with a goodsense of humour. Previous experience is required. We would also welcomeapplications from individuals who are considering entering a career inteaching.
