Senior Learning Assistant - Pastoral and Inclusion Support

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Learning Assistant to join 'The Nest', our new nurture provision, supporting;
• The school's Pastoral and Safeguarding Team;
• Children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND);
• Children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs;
• Parents, carers and families.

Robins Lane is a friendly, vibrant and dynamic school and we are looking for candidates that support our ethos, 'Aim High, Fly High'. The main duties of this post are to;
• Work with and supervise individuals and groups of children under the direction of the senior leadership team, inclusive of those with pastoral needs, to enable access to learning and support to wellbeing.
• Establish strong working relationships with pupils and families, promoting inclusion, acceptance and self-esteem.
• Assist with the implementation of Early Help Assessment Tools (EHAT), Individual Educational Plans (IEPs), Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) and Pastoral Support Plans (PSPs).
• Assist with the carrying out of interventions and other curriculum-related programmes for children with additional needs and pastoral needs.
• Support with managing pupil attendance and punctuality, working with families to overcome barriers.
• Support with pupil behaviour, promoting the school's values, policy and 'Thrive' approach.

The post is required for as soon as possible. The hours for the post will be Monday to Friday, 8.15am-3.45pm (with a 30-minute lunch), term-time only plus 5 inset days.

The posts are subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure Certificate.
