As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Asset Management Investment Data Technology, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities

• Champion a domain-based approach to data management working closely with domain experts to meets diverse needs across the Investment Platform.
• Drive the development of an application that helps users discover research, breaking news, street events, market data and more. Curated around the needs of an individual, portfolio or team.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to improve the data discovery experience using latest AI Technologies.
• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
• Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.
• Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced level of technical expertise in Java or Python and modern programming paradigms
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Hands on experience with Front End development and knowledge of React concepts.
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
• Exposure to AWS via hands on experience or certification

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Ability to present and effectively communicate with other engineering teams to drive design decisions.
• Search engine optimization
• Basic understanding of latest AI/ML technologies and prompt engineering
