JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a strategic and experienced FinOps engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing cloud spend, implementing best practices in cloud financial management, and driving financial accountability across the organization. You will collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align cloud financial strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and discuss potential risks and benefits of technology solutions to address business requirements.
- Analyze financial reports and trends to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
- Partner with application owners to disseminate and execute plans, tracking financial gains.
- Communicate project status to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform analysis and develop plans for additional cost reduction initiatives.
- Monitor projects, manage issue resolution, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage and maintain code for existing FinOps applications.
- Develop new features and capabilities based on user requirements.
- Deploy applications using the CI/CD pipeline.
- Establish project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience in AWS Terraform deployments.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and business requirements, recommending innovative solutions.
- Experience with integrating CI/CD pipelines with version control systems.
- Solid understanding of technology infrastructure (cloud and distributed) and cost management.
- Sound understanding of AWS products, pricing, and FinOps methodologies.
- Hands-on attitude with a focus on objectives and results.
- Reliable, assertive, and independent working attitude.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FinOps frameworks and certifications (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner).
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
