Come join the newly formed Firmwide Technology Resiliency group that is part of the JPMorgan Chase Cybersecurity & Technology Controls' organization.

The group is tasked with ensuring the firm's technology estate can maintain effective operations and support the ongoing, critical functioning of Essential Business Services in the face of today's evolving threat landscape.

In this role as a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team that enables the business to sustain critical operations, through strengthening critical infrastructure and application resiliency.

You will be leveraging your data science domain expertise to develop a model to provide analytical insights and generate impact scenarios. These will be used to ascertain technology and recovery risk, working closely with both technology and business stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and implementation of a resiliency risk model
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of business units, data engineering and data platforms and identify data and deliver models using firmwide frameworks
  • Conduct thorough data investigations to ensure the quality and completeness of datasets and oversee quality control measures for modelling outcomes
  • Partner with our stakeholders to identify valuable insights and an in-depth understanding of business use cases
  • Deliver high quality usable artefacts, that clearly explain strategic solutions and decisions behind them
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management, highlighting opportunities to target reduction in business and technology recovery risk.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong academic background with an advanced degree in either Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science or another quantitative field.
  • Previous experience as a data scientist or quantitative analyst
  • Prior customer facing experience is required, with a demonstrated ability to communicate technical content clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences
  • Experience of articulating and translating business questions and using statistical techniques to arrive at an answer using available data
  • Proven expertise in leading risk model design using a variety of data interpretation and modelling techniques with demonstrated experience in data mining and handling large, complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation technologies including SQL, general-purpose and statistical programming languages with experience in open-source analytics & query engines for big data
  • Must be an intrinsically motivated able to operate relatively independently to take key modelling decisions with effective prioritization and time management

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Passion for the software development cycle, code review, and maintaining code
  • Experience of building effective solution architectures
  • Fundamental understanding of technology infrastructure components with experience of cloud based technologies and architectures (ideally AWS and/or Microsoft Azure)
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment
  • Proven ability to build strong, cohesive partnerships with key stakeholders, including external vendor partners with the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
