Latin & Polar Destination Manager

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Destination Manager for our Latin America and Polar product portfolios to develop and maintain destinations in line with Scott Dunn's destination development strategy, in doing so identifying new product opportunities and ensuring we remain at the forefront of the luxury travel market. This is to cover a period of maternity on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

More than your standard Destination Manager role, this opportunity will have a broad remit to accelerate opportunities across the product portfolio, and work collaboratively across destination management functions to build out and develop our industry-leading product proposition. Resultingly, we are seeking a commercially oriented individual who is looking to build upon their career in luxury travel product.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Ownership and destination specialism of Scott Dunn's Latin America and Polar geographical regions across multiple source markets
  • Develop a compelling product proposition designed to engage new guests and compel repeat guests to go on another Latin America or Polar holiday
  • Commercial negotiations and ground-handler tenders
  • Delivering destination product overhauls to deadline
  • Drive new campaign ideas and website development
  • Planning fam trips and ensuring that each trip delivers maximum benefit to the business
  • Managing relationships, leading key supplier meetings, and representing Scott Dunn at tradeshows
  • Supporting the sales teams
  • Proactively identify sales team training requirements, building a bank of tools and resources
  • Maintaining accuracy and relevance of content within the product database
  • Effective communication with product, sales, and marketing team and the wider business
  • Creatively writing new and existing product copy

About You

You will have a deep passion and knowledge for Latin America and Polar regions, and luxury product in general, having evidenced the ability to take ownership for a product proposition and collaborate across a business to drive its marketability and adaptation to the latest industry trends. Leading the product-portfolio, you will have your finger on the pulse of all things travel, combined with the creative flair, strong commercial awareness and acumen, as well as relationship management skills, to contribute towards and lead destination development projects in mind of a wider product-strategy. Resultingly, the minimum requirements to evidence in your application include:

  • 2+ years experience working with Latin America-travel product
  • Commercial acumen with evidenced experience in managing commercial negotiations
  • Collaborative approach with strong internal and external relationship management skills
  • Forward-thinking approach with the ability to work autonomously

Location
We aim to find someone who would be office based at our London, Hammersmith office.
