We're Hiring: Senior Land Surveyor
Are you ready to make a significant impact on one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure projects? We're seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Land Surveyor to join our team in Suffolk. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality survey services and supporting the project team to achieve its goals. As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance) we will support the building for Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.
Why This Role:
- Leadership and Development: Supervise and develop a team of surveyors, ensuring consistent, high-standard data capture and deliverables.
- Varied and Impactful Work: Engage in diverse survey processes, including engineering control, topographic surveys, and setting out, all while supporting health, safety, and sustainability initiatives.
- Project Contribution: Be a part of the pivotal SZC project, working collaboratively with stakeholders to drive progress and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and assist the Survey Manager in delivering survey requirements and developing the survey team.
- Implement standardized data capture and deliverables across the project.
- Provide supervision and office support for the survey teams, ensuring construction information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Conduct site safety briefings, prepare Work Package Plans (WPP), Risk Assessments (RA), and Task Briefing Sheets (TBS).
- Maintain focus on Zero Harm and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
- Produce and manage survey data, ensuring it meets site-specific tolerances and is securely stored.
- Manage site records, produce as-built drawings, and ensure inventory of survey equipment is maintained.
What We're Looking For:
- Extensive knowledge of survey-specific software and applications, including Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Proficiency in IT and experience with the latest survey equipment and technologies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Experience in settlement monitoring systems, geodetic requirements, and GNSS networks.
- Hold a valid CSCS card; SMSTS qualification and a relevant degree or equivalent qualification are desirable.
