What You Will be doing

Team 17 Digital Limited is seeking a Senior Technician to join the IT Services team at our Manchester studio. The focus will be on managing the service desk queue, taking ownership of complex tickets, implementing and maintaining improvements to our services, and mentoring other Technicians. We are looking for a candidate who is ready for the challenge of working as part of a team in an organisation with a global brand and circa 200 employees. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to learn and expand their knowledge of all areas of technology in a fast-moving environment undergoing significant technical and cultural transformation.

Your Day-To-Day

Working with the Service Desk Manager, you'll be responsible for handling internal IT issues and day-to-day requests at our Manchester studio, working through tickets and requests in our ITSM platform (Hornbill) and assisting colleagues with technical escalations.

You'll identify and carry out maintenance and remediation activities on a wide range of devices - including PCs, consoles, servers, network infrastructure, mobile phones and AV equipment.

As part of cross-IT and cross-business projects, you will help implement new systems and services, as well as changes and upgrades to existing ones. As part of the wider IT team, you'll balance your time to help deliver improvements whilst maintaining service continuity.

You'll be a visible and active member of our Manchester studio support team, helping our colleagues to make and support pioneering indie games.

What You'll Need

  • Experience implementing and managing third-line technologies, including network infrastructure, server estate, virtualisation, monitoring
  • Experience of managing and configuring Microsoft management and security technologies such as Intune, 365, Active Directory (both on premise and Azure), GPO's and Defender
  • OS Deployment (e.g. Intune) and scripting knowledge (e.g. PowerShell)
  • Diverse software & hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Strong time-management and documentation skills

The recruitment process

Stage 1 will be a 45-minute chat with a member of our TA Team.

Stage 2 will be a 1-hour interview with our Service Desk Manager and either our IT Manager or IT Director.

Stage 3 will be a 1-hour with one of our ITS Technician and one other colleague from IT.
