The Role

We are seeking an ambitious Senior IT Support Engineer to join our team in Brighton. You will be working alongside the existing support team to help deliver an exceptional service to our Motorway colleagues based across multiple office locations. Motorway is a rapidly growing business and we're planning on making some significant changes to our SaaS technology stack with how we support and manage our users. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern cloud-first environment where you'll be utilising the latest technologies and tools.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing IT Support to Motorway staff and contractors to help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across our services estate
  • Develop our backend IT management and administration platforms to help reduce ongoing support and ensure these tools meet our requirements as the business scales
  • Optimising our device management platforms and product technical guidance on best practices enabling the team to proactively manage our hardware estate.
  • Scale-out our monitoring platform, building out the necessary configurations to identify issues across our Infrastructure and services.
  • Taking ownership of your own IT projects and working closely with other team members on delivery
  • Mentor and assist other engineers in the team, acting as a path of escalation for complex and challenging issues
  • Identify and Implement automations that will streamline the workflows of the IT & operational teams
  • Play a key role in increasing Motorway's security posture. You'll be involved in identifying and implementing technical changes to eliminate security risks. You will also be delivering and maintaining security tooling such as anti-virus, web filtering, DLP and conditional access policies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in an enterprise scale environment working in a senior support or sys admin position.
  • Experience administering productivity suites & SaaS tooling such as Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace and SSO platforms.
  • Extensive experience with device management platforms such as Intune, SCCM, JAMF or similar
  • Comfortable with solving complex problems, both technical and non-technical, to meet desired outcomes
  • Enjoy providing support and mentoring to colleagues on a range of issues and projects
  • Experience working with and maintaining cloud based directory services
  • Experience implementing IT security and access controls desirable
  • Networking and wireless administration experience
  • Analytical problem solving skills with an attention to detail
  • Enjoy being challenged outside your comfort zone in a fast paced environment
