Job Purpose and Summary

To support us on this journey, our Senior IT Manager - eCommerce & Content is responsible to deliver complex solutions for integrated software landscapes across the e-Commerce & Content domain. These include technologies such as Oracle ATG, OCC and the integrated e2e business landscape (e.g. ERP, Warehousing, payment, BPM layer) and associated SaaS supporting applications in the e-Commerce / Content Management domain.

This role will be part of the Solution & Adoption department, who is responsible for application delivery & application operations for the Canon EMEA region. Furthermore, this role requires operations and delivery excellence capabilities with strong people management skills.

Role overview: this role is internally known as Principal Solution & Adoption Consultant.

As a Senior IT Manager - eCommerce & Content Management, you will:

  • Provide the e-Commerce and content management domain with innovative, best fitting end-to-end process/IT solutions based on an expert understanding of both business processes and technology capabilities.
  • Lead cross organizational process/IT change programs from concept to successful end-to-end implementation, incl. stakeholder management on MT level and management of external service providers.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, cross organizational, on middle and senior management level in all matters of process/IT.
  • Manage, coach and lead a team of direct reports, less experienced colleagues (internal and external) and managing external partners on excellent solutions and delivery.

Broader responsibilities include accountability/responsibility for:

  • Operational stability of the eCommerce & Content Management domain
  • Being the single point of contact towards business stakeholders in eCommerce & Content Management for operations and project escalations
  • Ensuring maximum efficiency of the existing team who focus on AM activities
  • Ensuring effective resource and capacity planning across different IT initiatives
  • Overseeing the management of operational budgets including Service Partner teams and software renewals

What we ask

As a Senior IT Manager - eCommerce & Content Management you will need:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience in IT Delivery , including eCommerce and/or Content Management experience managing large process / IT programs with an excellent track record.
  • Experience of managing offshore teams
  • Strong background in defining solutions for integrated enterprise software landscape with eCommerce platforms such as Oracle ATG and OCC, Salesforce.com (SaaS), IBM WebSphere or other integration tools.
  • Extensive experience in either B2C and/or B2B customer experiences.
  • Excellent Project Management skills.
  • Exceptional problem solving and sound decision making capabilities, recognized by alternative solutions, and confident, accurate, decision-making coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong stakeholder & people management skills

  • Base pay - £84,498 - £104,319
