Job Description

What will you be doing?

As a Senior IT Application Support Engineer, you will join our team in Bristol to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Supporting, Co-ordinating and supervising Level 1.5 & 2 shopfloor engineers in applications utilised in the manufacturing environment such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning systems, (ERP), Scheduling softwares and Machining.
• Training and assisting end-users to ensure optimal use of the applications.
• Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and optimize application performance.
• Participating in continuous improvement of processes and tools by proposing innovative solutions.
• Writing and updating technical documentation and operating procedures.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of experience in application support, preferably in an industrial sector.
• Proven experience in providing training for colleagues with supervisory responsibilities.
• Prior exposure to production environments and industrial processes.
• Proficiency in ticket management tools and common operating systems.
