Senior International Tax Manager

What you'll do
The Senior International Tax Manager role has responsibility to lead, assist and advise on a range of International Tax projects and operational activities. The role sits within the Group International Tax team and involves working closely with the other Transfer Pricing senior managers and managers within Group Tax, whilst reporting into the Head of International Tax. The role will have a strong transfer pricing focus, so requires excellent transfer pricing knowledge and experience, but will also require good international and corporate tax skills and awareness of indirect tax issues. Equally importantly the role requires a good commercial awareness, the ability to influence at a senior level across multiple stakeholders and a demonstrated ability to deliver pragmatic tax solutions to complex problems, which are fully compliant and defendable from a tax perspective.
- Business partnering on all international tax matters related to Vodafone's Partner Markets business (i.e. the business that manages strategic alliances and partnerships with third party operators), including liaison with external adivsors who lead delivery of the tax technical advice
- Leading and managing all tax aspects related to the licensing of the Vodafone brand, which is one of the Group's most valuable assets, including any tax issues arising as a result of new projects and organisational change
- Leading and advising Vodafone's captive insurance business in relation to transfer pricing and overseas tax risks.
- Transfer pricing documentation: Leading Vodafone's Master and Local File process, including overseeing the work of the International Tax Manager and coordinating inputs from other teams
- Tax controversy: Providing support and technical expertise in relation to tax audits across Vodafone's footprint in the above business areas.
Who you are
- ACA or CTA qualified, or equivalent
- Over 5 years post qualified experience in tax roles
- Tax advisor with at least 8 years' tax experience either within an advisory firm or a large MNC
- Excellent transfer pricing knowledge and experience; good understanding of international tax issues
- Exposure to tax dispute management and resolution of transfer pricing matters

- Maternity/adoption leave: 52 weeks out of which the first 13 weeks are fully paid followed by 26 weeks of half pay and 6 months - working 4 days, getting paid 5
