Job Title: Senior Interior Designer

Salary: £55,000 pro rata
The Opportunity:
We are representing one of the world's most influential and fastest-growing lifestyle hospitality brands. Known for creating "places that tell stories," our client is currently undergoing a period of rapid global expansion. We are seeking a high-calibre, autonomous Freelance FF&E Specialist to join their award-winning design team for a critical four-month project.
This is a rare opportunity to cover a maternity cover role, at the forefront of hospitality design, contributing to iconic global portfolios during a high-velocity growth phase.
The Role:
You will bring together strong creative vision with a rigorous technical approach. The ideal candidate will have a well-established background in high-end hospitality and F&B projects, supported by a portfolio demonstrating successfully completed of these areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Concept Creation & Visual Development: Ability to originate strong interior design concepts and translate them into clear, well-structured presentation material for clients. Confident in expressing design ideas through both 2D and 3D visual exploration, supported by curated imagery that defines the overall creative direction.
- FF&E Design Leadership: Comprehensive understanding of FF&E design and sourcing, including the creation of original design solutions and custom drawing packages. Experienced in guiding projects through every stage of the process-from concept and specification to supplier coordination, prototyping, procurement management, and final installation.
- Sector Experience: Solid professional experience within hospitality design, particularly within public spaces and food & beverage environments. Exposure to residential projects would be considered an advantage.
- Material & Supplier Expertise: Extensive familiarity with a wide range of materials, finishes, and specialist FF&E suppliers, supporting informed design specification and sourcing.
- Professional Qualities: A motivated and collaborative individual who contributes positively within a team environment while building strong working relationships with both colleagues and clients. Highly organised with strong decision-making ability, excellent time management, and a proactive approach to learning. Maintains consistent precision and attention to detail throughout every phase of a project.
Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign is essential.
- Deep understanding of global materials and finishes and a well-developed network of trusted suppliers.
- The role requires someone who can quickly integrate into a project environment, confidently managing the complexities of refurbishment work within fast-paced studio settings.
- Strong communication skills are equally important, with the ability to clearly convey design intent and collaborate effectively within a dynamic, high-performing team.
