An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the People Directorate in the SEND Assessment, Planning and Review Team as a Senior Inclusion Officer.

The vacancy is for 1 full time permanent post in the Pre -14 Inclusion Team.

As a SEND Senior Inclusion Officer, you will be the allocated SEND officer for our children and young people with Education Health and Care plans ensuring they are accessing appropriate education, their needs are being met and the correct provision is in place to prepare them for adulthood.

In this interesting and demanding role you will have responsibility for liaising with families of children with SEND, education providers and other Local Area professionals along with children and young people (between 0-25) to ensure a holistic approach is taken at all times to meet the needs of those with SEND and Bristol City Council's drive to improve educational outcomes.

You will be required to attend Annual Review meetings, multi professional meetings and ensure all statutory processes and paperwork are completed to a high standard and that this meets statutory timescales.

In addition to demonstrating the essential knowledge, skills and experience outlined in the person specification, you will be expected and able to manage a large caseload and deal with competing demands and priorities within the fast paced and pressurised working environment of SEND.

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
