Job title: Senior ILS Engineer

Location: Broad Oak, Portsmouth

Salary: Circa £50,000 dependent on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Act as the focal point for the team in Broad Oak and point of contact for ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) activities across a range of platforms as directed and supported by the ILS Manager
• Apply proven techniques and procedures to understand support requirements and develop solutions
• Actively manage and report on the obsolescence state of in-service equipment, through proactive engagement with relevant stakeholders
• Maintain ILS records ensuring that data is kept in-line with equipment BoMs (Bill of Materials), platform baselines and as-built records ensuring the required level of configuration governance is followed
• Provide trend data analysis in relation to hardware reliability and spares usage, and provide support to the reliability modelling of new systems and impact of system changes
• Produce (ILS) Integrated Logistics Support deliverable documentation including NATO Codification application requests
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required to support the ILS activities

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Be experienced in the full suite and range of ILS responsibilities and Configuration Management processes as detailed in the relevant Standards (e.g. Def Stan 00-600 and Def Stan 05-57)
• Previous experience working within a technical background and also data analysis/manipulation
• Have a structured, methodical and disciplined approach with attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable:

• Knowledge of engineering drawings & data
• Knowledge of product/equipment support in the MoD/Royal Navy

The Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Team:

As a Senior Integrated Logistic Support Engineer, you will be providing support to the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Team who are responsible for the provision of services to the Royal Navy in Service Platforms.

You will be using your understanding of a range of ILS processes, tools, systems and techniques and to supporting complex warships.
